Topical Maps and Templates

Copy for agent Copied

The Topical Maps tab helps you plan a set of related content topics before writing each article. A map organizes a main subject as a pillar page with related cluster topics. Use it to see possible areas of coverage and choose an individual cluster as the next writing or monitoring task.

Select the project you want to plan for, then open Content → Topical Maps → Generate map. Enter a main topic, product, or area and choose an output language: Polish, English, German, or Spanish. The language defaults to the app language when that language is available, and you can change it in the form before generating.

After you confirm, PromptEye creates the map and begins generating its topic structure. The detail view shows a processing state while generation is underway; the interface says this usually takes 15–30 seconds, though the actual time can vary. If generation fails, use Retry to start it again. The list shows each map’s topic, language, status, and creation date. Select a row to open its detail page.

A topical map is a planning aid. Its suggestions do not automatically become published pages, monitored prompts, or recommendations. Review whether the topics fit the project’s products, audience, and available evidence before turning them into work.

The Pillar Page is the map’s central topic. It has a title and description that can frame a broad, comprehensive page. The map also contains clusters: narrower subjects arranged under categories. Each cluster has a topic title and an intent label: Informational, Navigational, or Transactional.

The intent label describes the kind of question a topic appears to represent. Informational topics are oriented toward learning; navigational topics toward finding a particular destination or brand; transactional topics toward an action or purchase. Treat these labels as aids for planning rather than a guarantee that every searcher has only one intent.

Categories group related cluster topics. The map shows a count for each category. Use Regenerate on a category when its set of suggestions needs another pass. That action regenerates the selected category rather than replacing the entire map. Review the resulting topics before relying on them; regeneration is not an editorial approval step.

If the whole map has an error state, Retry runs map generation again.

Select a cluster topic to enable the action bar. The current interface selects one cluster at a time. Choose Create article to open the article wizard with that cluster title prefilled. The article wizard then lets you choose a monitored prompt or continue from a title and review the brief before generation.

Choose Track prompt beside a cluster when you want to monitor its wording. PromptEye opens prompt creation with the cluster title prefilled; you still review the prompt and save it. Monitoring a prompt does not generate or publish an article.

Use Clear to remove the current cluster selection. Selecting a different cluster replaces the prior selection. The current detail page does not provide a bulk action to create articles for several clusters at once, which lets you review one topic’s prompt and brief before moving to another.

The map list belongs to the selected project. If no project is selected, the page asks you to choose one before viewing or creating maps. Use the delete action in a map row to remove that map after confirming. Deleting a map removes the map entry; the interface does not promise a way to undo deletion, so make sure you are removing the intended map. Articles or trackers created from its topics have their own records and are not the map itself.

The Templates tab currently says ready-made article structures are coming soon. There are no templates to choose from in the current workflow. Use a topical map, monitored prompt, or your own title to start an article instead.

Can I create a map without a selected project?

Section titled “Can I create a map without a selected project?”

No. Choose a project from the sidebar first; maps are stored and shown for that project.

Can I turn the pillar page into an article directly?

Section titled “Can I turn the pillar page into an article directly?”

The current map detail actions are attached to cluster topics. To start from the pillar subject, use its topic as your own article title in the New article flow.

Does monitoring a cluster prompt also create an article?

Section titled “Does monitoring a cluster prompt also create an article?”

No. Track prompt opens prompt creation. Create article opens the article wizard. Choose one action based on whether you want to monitor the question or plan content for it.

The visible Regenerate action refreshes a category of clusters. Retry is available when the map has failed. There is no control to regenerate the whole map at once.
